We're proud to introduce Monkdowns House, a charming three-bedroom townhouse nestled in the heart of Essex.
We were recently commissioned to renovate this home for a growing family. Our clients wanted to transform their traditional home into something special that would better suit their lifestyle.
With the family's needs guiding our approach, we developed a renovation plan that would modernise the home while adding practical features and personal touches.

Open-Plan Living
The centerpiece of our renovation was creating a bright, spacious open-plan kitchen diner. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring in abundant natural light, while thoughtful colour choices add character to the space. The kitchen now flows naturally into the living area, making it perfect for family time and entertaining.

Attic Transformation
We saw lots of untapped potential in the attic room and converted it into a private retreat by adding an ensuite bathroom. This provides a peaceful space away from the busier areas of the home.

Essential Improvements
The project included comprehensive rewiring and replastering to ensure the home functions as well as it looks. We provided full decoration and interior design services, incorporating modern elements with colorful accents – including a cheerful wall mural in the nursery that always makes visitors smile.
Outdoor Living
The garden received a complete refresh with a new patio, built-in seating, decorative planters, and outdoor lighting that makes evening gatherings a real pleasure. We also added a practical storage shed/workshop to complete the outdoor space.

This project transformed a traditional townhouse into a home that truly works for the family living in it – functional, stylish, and full of personality.
