£845 Raised for Brain Injury Charities on the Get Up Give Back Challenge

June 8, 2026

We're incredibly proud of Alexandra, Lucas, and Finlay from Team PDC — who laced up their boots at midnight and tackled one of Wales's most iconic peaks, pushing through darkness, cold, and steep terrain to summit Mount Snowdon by sunrise as part of the Get Up Give Back challenge, all in aid of supporting three incredible brain injury charities.

On the night of 30th–31st May, the team set off from the base of Snowdon, covering around 8 miles on foot from midnight through to dawn.

It took them around six hours, through cold, fog, and challenging terrain — setting off at midnight and reaching the summit in time for sunrise just after 5am, alongside other property entrepreneurs and business owners taking on the same challenge as part of GUGB 2026.

Now in its seventh year, the initiative brought together a community of entrepreneurs to take on a series of mental and physical challenges. Walking, running, hiking, and zip lining, across six weeks, with a collective goal of raising £150,000 for three life-changing charities.

Major hats off to Alexandra, Lucas, and Finlay for their commitment, drive, and sheer determination to see it through.

Between them, they raised an outstanding £845, contributing to the wider Get Up Give Back Mind over Matter initiative, which has now reached an incredible £123,223 towards its £150,000 target.

Every pound raised, by our team and everyone who took on the challenge, goes directly to three organisations doing life-changing work for those affected by brain injury, stroke, and dementia:

SameYou — supporting young people's recovery from brain injury and stroke, helping them reclaim their identity and independence.

Dementia Adventure — connecting people living with dementia to the outdoors, nature, and a fuller life.

OSCAR's Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity — providing support, research funding, and hope to families facing a paediatric brain tumour diagnosis.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated to Alexandra, Finlay, or Lucas, everyone who cheered them on, and everyone who shared their journey. Your support made every step they took worthwhile.

The donation link is still open for a few more days. If you haven't had the chance to give yet, now is your moment. Every contribution, big or small, makes a real difference to the people these charities support.
