Taking on the GUGB's Midnight to Sunrise Snowdon Challenge in Aid of Brain Injury, Stroke & Dementia Charities

May 15, 2026

On the 30–31st May, some of our team will be taking on the GUGB (Get Up Give Back) 2026 Challenge, hiking up Snowdon from midnight through to sunrise in support of the theme of 'Mind Over Matter'.

Over the last few weeks, Alexandra, Lucas and Finlay, have been spending their weekends training across the Peak District, preparing for what will no doubt be a tough but incredibly rewarding challenge.

On the evening of the 30th May, they will be setting off at midnight where they’ll begin hiking up Mount Snowdon in complete darkness, making their way through the mountain trails overnight before reaching the summit around sunrise the following morning.

The route itself covers around 20km across difficult terrain, steep inclines and exposed mountain conditions – all made even more challenging by the fact it will be completed almost entirely through the night with only head torches to guide the way.

The challenge forms part of the GUGB (Get Up Give Back) 2026 fundraiser in support of Mind Over Matter, helping raise funds and awareness for charities supporting those affected by brain injury, stroke and dementia, including Dementia Adventure, SameYou, and OSCAR’s Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity.

Like many people, we didn’t fully realise the long-term impact these conditions can have on individuals and families until learning more about the work these charities do. Rehabilitation, recovery support, community care and awareness all make a huge difference, but they rely heavily on fundraising and donations to continue.

If you’d like to support the team taking on this huge challenge, every donation, no matter how small, is hugely appreciated and goes towards some incredibly important causes. Please donate using the link below:
